We had a wonderful experience at our convention in Las Vegas last weekend, and if you followed me on
Twitter at all, you know that there was a lot going on for those 7 days. We learned from some of the world's most famous and experienced photographers, as well as picked up great new items and ideas for the business.
As a businessman, or woman, no matter what field you're in, the best thing you can do for your business is to work ON it, instead of just working IN it. It's very easy to get burdened down by routine and just keeping up with the workflow, but you often end up overlooking things that need to be addressed, or changed. Here's a small example: I just realized the other day that as people came into our house to meet with us, they walked by our refrigerator which was totally plastered with a mess of old Christmas cards and family snapshots. Now you may or may not have noticed it, but it was an eyesore that we've walked past for months. It felt unprofessional when our eyes were opened to it.
Honestly, we are thrilled about the direction Gehman Photography is going! 2009 is going to be a wild ride as we prepare to launch into something in the next year that we've had our eyes on for a long time, and it has me giddy to say the least!

Also, as of today, we only have 4 spots available for 2009 weddings! So, if you know someone who is coming off of a very special Valentine's Day ;) be sure to let them know that we're almost full for the year!
